The Push

There are very few people that have or understand the pain of pushing themselves past there physical capability where the only reason that you are still going is because your mental toughness is keeping you going. There is a point that almost all runners have reached whether it was in a workout of in a race. this is where you legs go completely wabblie so bad that you feel like each step your going to fall and your not lifting your toes high enough and it catching the ground. This is the point where you want to stop because the pain is almost unbearable but you know that if you don't push it that you will not reach you goal and that is one of the things that keep you going.

My first experiences with this was when i was trying to go under two minutes in the 800meter run. which to most wouldn't seem that bad but when you get to the two min mark and your legs are throbbing you think that there is no way that you could go any faster. The week before i  went 1:57 i was doing three hundred repeats and on the 8th one i was coming down the home stretch and my legs felt like someone caught them on fire and pored acid in my lungs and my times were getting significantly slower but i forced my self to push through and do two more. This was helpful because during the race i started to feel the same way and told myself that this is nothing cross the line and my coach told me that i was one of the fastest guys in the state and realized that all the work was worth it. I hope that every one can experience this because it is more powerful then Mollie.
